Goochland gives us larger lots and rural parcels to work with, which opens the door to detached ADUs, roomy garage additions, and ground-level suites that would be tight on a city lot. Closer to Richmond, older homes bring tighter sites and existing structures that need careful framing to build onto. Powhatan and Hanover run much like Goochland on lot size, while Chesterfield and the Charlottesville area each come with their own permitting steps and inspection schedules.
Every addition starts with a planning conversation and a walkthrough of your existing home, where we look at your goals and how the new space needs to tie into what is already there. Once you approve the contract, we put a crew to work and move from framing through finishes. You get a progress update from us every week, so you always know what happened on site and what is coming next. When the work is done, we walk the finished space with you and make sure it is right before you move in.
